Fueled by relentless drive, deep devotion to his family and a passion for uplifting his community, David Klick, market president at WesBanco, has become a standout leader in West Virginia banking. Family has always been at the heart of Klick’ s story. Growing up in Prosperity, PA, with the steady guidance of his parents, Michael and Kathy, and the camaraderie of his siblings, Lynn, Jenny and Mike, Klick learned the importance of support, hard work and integrity.

“ The biggest influences on my career path have been my parents,” he says.“ My dad, the ultimate man of faith with an outstanding moral compass, and my mom, whose steady support and values shaped who I am, gave me the foundation to build both my life and career.”
Throughout his career, Klick has benefited from the guidance of influential mentors and the unwavering support of his family. His parents provided the foundation for his values while mentors like Greg Agresta at WesBanco challenged him to grow as a banker and a leader. Klick credits his success to a focus on building strong relationships and the support of those around him.
“ Greg was the one who recruited me into the bank and from the very beginning gave me the kind of tough love that helped shape me into who I am today,” Klick says.“ He never told me what I wanted to hear. He told me what I needed to hear. That honesty, combined with his belief in me, pushed me to grow as a banker and leader. Looking back, I realize how valuable it was to have someone willing to challenge me, hold me accountable and set a standard of excellence.”
Committed to giving back, Klick is a dedicated community leader and volunteer. He serves on the boards of Brooke Hills Park and Change Inc. and sits on the executive committees of the Business Development Corporation of the Northern Panhandle and Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce. As president of the Ohio Valley Boxing Association and a volunteer in local schools, Klick works tirelessly to mentor youth, promote financial education and help drive regional growth, making a lasting impact both inside and outside of the bank. He believes investing in the community is not just a responsibility but a privilege, one that affords him the ability to give back to the place where he grew up.
Beyond his professional and volunteer commitments, Klick finds balance and joy in West Virginia’ s great outdoors. He enjoys golfing at Oglebay Park Resort’ s courses and night scrambles at Brooke Hills Park with his son, Tyson.
Above all, his devotion to family remains a guiding force in both his personal life and career. He measures success not only by career accomplishments but also by the strength of his relationships and his ability to remain present for those who matter most.
“ Tyson is a sophomore and a dedicated baseball player and honor student, and I’ m proud to watch him grow not only on the field and in the classroom but as a young man finding his confidence,” Klick says.“ Our daughter, Sicilia, is in kindergarten, and her outgoing, extroverted personality already lights up every room she enters. My wife, Michelle, is our anchor. As a nurse, she brings compassion and precision to everything she does, and at home she has the same unmatched attention to detail and care that keeps our family grounded and strong.”
Klick chooses to work in West Virginia because it is home.
“ West Virginia is where my family is rooted and where I feel I can make the greatest impact,” he says.“ WesBanco is a West Virginia-based bank with deep ties to this region, and that connection allows me to do meaningful work that directly supports the people and businesses here. What motivates me is knowing that I’ m not just building my career but also contributing to the growth and future of the communities I care deeply about.” •
