2021 AWARDS RECEPTION

In August , the West Virginia University ( WVU ) College of Law and West Virginia Executive ( WVE ) magazine recognized the exceptional Lawyers & Leaders Class of 2021 with the launch of WVE ’ s Summer 2021 issue . On September 30 , 2021 , these elite legal professionals were celebrated at the Hotel Morgan in Morgantown . Those attending the reception found inspiration everywhere they looked . Each award winner has dedicated their career to serving others and positively impacting their immediate community and the Mountain State as a whole . In addition , the event provided a space for West Virginians to network and share ideas .
The honored members of the Lawyers & Leaders Class of 2021 are : Roslyn Clark Artis , J . D ., Ed . D ., president and CEO of Benedict College ; Paul Farrell Jr ., attorney at Farrell Law ; Alice Renee Faucett , general counsel for West Virginia State University ; Robert Fisher , attorney at Law , Adams , Fisher and Chappell , PLLC ; Robert Fitzsimmons , attorney at Fitzsimmons Law Firm ; Erica Mani , regional chief executive for American Red Cross Central Appalachia Region ; Ashley Pack , managing partner of the Charleston office for Dinsmore & Shohl LLP ; Alison Peck , professor of law , co-director of the immigration law clinic and director of
international programs at the WVU College of Law ; Rick Pill , attorney at Pill and Pill , PLLC ; Toney Stroud , in-house counsel for Encova Insurance ; Christine Vaglienti , assistant vice president and senior litigation counsel for West Virginia University Health System ; and Austin Longnecker and Emily Neely , graduates of the WVU College of Law Class of 2021 .
Each member of the class was chosen for their commitment to advocating for the rights of others . The annual program recognizes distinguished legal professionals who are either graduates of the WVU College of Law or are practicing law in the Mountain State .

The Lawyers & Leaders honors program is an opportunity to celebrate excellent work being done by inspirational people who have made a positive impact in West Virginia and far beyond by dedicating their careers to serving others .
