ALL FOR THE GOOD

Goodwill Offers Hope in the Wake of COVID-19

“ We are so excited to be able to serve more people in our territory ! Being a fixture for employment , education and service supports in Wood County has been a Goodwill goal . We look forward to seeing and serving you through the power of work .”
— Gary Cotta , Director of Mission Services
With a mission to provide community integration for people with disabilities or those with barriers to employment through the power of work , Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley , Inc . has been fortunate to have the support of West Virginia communities for nearly 70 years . During that time , Goodwill has flexibly worked to accommodate the vocational goals of its neighbors experiencing barriers to work . Whether a participant has previously never held a job or has now found themselves suddenly re-entering a very new workforce , Goodwill offers the skills necessary to achieve and retain employment .
During these unprecedented times , especially with all the challenges facing our neighbors and communities , it is reassuring to learn of opportunity and economic growth . Goodwill is pleased to announce an expansion of business and mission services in its 20-county territory in the Mountain State . Goodwill ’ s new office , which will assist Wood County residents , is located at 412 Market Street in Parkersburg and is serving as a hub for business and mission services .
