Based in Bridgeport, what started with a berry growing business in 1995 grew into selling value-added products such as preserves and fruit butters. The couple then expanded into fruit wines in 2015, and, in honor of the company’s 25th anniversary, West Virginia Fruit and Berry will officially begin producing bourbon whiskey in 2020. “Jams, jellies, fruit wines and whiskey—who could want more?” says Bob. “We have come to realize that there is so much you can do with fruits and berries, and preserves aren’t just for breakfast anymore.” The Titchenals feel blessed to get to do what they love in the community they love. “We didn’t do this alone,” Bob says. “We’ve had some wonderful people working with us over the years. We look back and appreciate each one of our partners and, most importantly, the customers we have come to know over the years. Many are still good friends, and that is why we do what we do.” West Virginia Fruit and Berry products are licensed and available in West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Washington, D.C. and make great, all-natural, West Virginia- made gifts for family, friends and business associates.
