Letter from the Kensie and her sister, Brett, at the 2013 Young Guns reception. COMING SOON! Sponsored by: When I started working for West Virginia Executive (WVE) magazine in July 2005, I never imagined all the mile- stones I would have the chance to celebrate. Sales goals have been met, new hires have succeeded, ownership has changed and countless deserving award recipients have been recognized across our platform of honors programs. The program that started it all was Young Guns, which began in 1999 with its inaugural class. I don’t imagine those who represented the first class could have envisioned the reach the program would Sponsorship opportunities available. Governor’s Mansion 4 WEST VIRGINIA EXECUTIVE have 20 years later. The first-ever Young Guns reception took place at the West Virginia Governor’s Mansion in 2006, and the event has continued to evolve and grow as it has moved to different locations honoring new inductees. Because the receptions did not start until 2006, I have had countless Young Guns from the early years ask me when their party would be held. This year, our annual reception will be the Young Guns All-Class Reunion, an event that is not just for the class of 2020 but for every Young Gun who has been proud—and made us proud—to carry on the name. I would like to take a moment to thank not only the past award recipients but also all of those people who supported them and took the time to nominate them because they felt they were deserving of recognition and represented our state well. It is our passion for representing the state of West Virginia—and how we see it as opposed to how outsiders see it—that keeps us motivated at WVE.  Kensie Hamilton Fauber Publisher
