SUPPORT AND INCENTIVES
The business community is critical to the
success of the program because those com-
pleting the process will require employment
options. By employing these individuals,
the state economy is strengthened, families
and communities are stabilized, and people
are placed on a path toward career success.
Incentives for employers include:
• Work Opportunity Tax Credits – a
benefit of up to $2,400 for qualifying
employers
• Paid work experience – WorkForce
West Virginia provides 100% wage
reimbursement for up to six months
• Free drug testing – Jobs & Hope
participants are regularly drug tested
at no cost to the employer
• Hiring from this applicant pool often
leads to a 12% reduction in turnovers
