Jack Bailey contributors Jack Bailey is the assistant vice president for communications and marketing at West Virginia State University. Prior to this position, he spent 20 years as a newspaper reporter, editor and publisher before transitioning to public relations in 2012. He is a 1992 graduate of Marshall University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Dr. Tim Barry Dr. Tim Barry is the president of Alderson Broaddus University (AB). He is a graduate of Briar Cliff University and Northern Illinois University. He is actively involved with AB’s community, including Barbour County’s chamber of commerce and economic development authority. Ken Bays Ken Bays is an editor- writer for the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. A graduate of West Virginia University, he has written for numerous magazines and newspapers with regional, state and national reach. He is a native of Raleigh County and now resides in Lewisburg, WV. Cathy Bonnstetter Cathy Bonnstetter has covered West Virginia’s business industry as a journalist for more than a decade and now works as an adjunct lecturer at West Virginia University’s Reed College of Media. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in journalism. Melanie Boyd Melanie Boyd is the graphic designer for Executive Ink, LLC and its publications. She holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Marietta College and previously worked as the graphic designer for the West Virginia Education Association. Boyd resides in Nitro, WV. 12 WEST VIRGINIA EXECUTIVE Lindsey Byars Lindsey Byars is the communications liaison for Concord University and a contributing writer for university publications. She is currently working on her master’s degree in creative writing and literature. Samantha Cart Samantha Cart is an editor for Executive Ink, LLC and its publications. A native of Buffalo, WV, she holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from West Virginia University. Cart currently lives in Hometown, WV, with her husband, Caleb, and their dog, Wednesday. Connie Conrad Connie Conrad is a marketing and advertising associate for Executive Ink, LLC. A native of Capon Bridge, WV, she holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from West Virginia University. She lives in Fairmont with her husband, twin sons and niece. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and her doctorate in educational leadership and policy analysis from East Tennessee State University. Kensie Hamilton Fauber Kensie Hamilton Fauber is the publisher and owner of Executive Ink, LLC, the publishing company for West Virginia Executive and its sister publications. She holds bachelor’s degrees in corporate communications and journalism from Elon University and is a graduate of Leadership West Virginia, Leadership Mon and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. She previously worked for The Herald Dispatch and now does freelance writing for publications, businesses and organizations throughout the region. A transplant from northern Ohio, she lives in Huntington, WV, with her husband and daughters and finds joy in writing about events and people in the Mountain State. Maggie Hatfield Maggie Hatfield is the communications and development specialist for the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph. She is a graduate of West Virginia University and now resides in Owensboro, KY, with her husband and two cats. Torie Jackson Torie Jackson is the vice president of institutional advancement at West Virginia University (WVU) Parkersburg, president of the WVU at Parkersburg Foundation and general manager of WPKM 96.3FM, the college radio station. She is also president of the Ritchie County Board of Education, where she strives to make sure students find success through opportunity and support. Jennifer Jett Prezkop Jennifer Jett Prezkop is the editor in chief of West Virginia Executive magazine and its sister publications. She is a graduate of West Virginia State University and a volunteer for Read Aloud West Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing fiction, running 5k races and caring for rescue cats.
