CEC Bridgeport Office Expands Water Resources Services with Addition of Principal Civil & Environmental Consul- tants, Inc.’s (CEC) Bridgeport office has hired Matthew Fluharty, PE, as a principal in its water resources practice. Fluharty brings more than 19 years of experience providing engineering, project management and consulting services to clients in the private and public sectors. In recent years, he has been working Matthew Fluharty, PE. with oil and gas companies providing water resource services for the devel- opment of natural gas wells for the Marcellus and Utica shales. Fluharty is a registered professional engineer in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He has extensive knowl- edge of the design and engineering of fluid hydraulics, hydraulic modeling and treatment systems with regard to water lines and distribution systems, pumping stations, water storage tanks, treatment plants, equipment sizing and selection, hydraulics analysis, project planning and permitting. He has worked on wastewater and potable water projects for public utilities. Fluharty received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from West Virginia University and is a member of the American Water Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
