Westonka schools among the best
With a student population that’ s growing every year, Westonka Public Schools has become a destination district for families in the west metro.
The district consistently makes U. S. News & World Report’ s Top 25 Best Minnesota High Schools. It’ s teachers are a big part of the students success. Mound Westonka High School English Teacher Corey Bulman was named 2017 Minnesota Teacher of the Year.
Westonka Public Schools serve children from all or parts of Mound, Minnetrista, Spring Park, Shorewood, Independence and Orono.
The 2018-19 school year marked both the opening of the district’ s new Performing Arts Center and their new Activity Center.
The school board usually meets once a month on the second Monday of the month at 7 p. m. in the district’ s Educational Service Center.
