RED DEVILS

The Watertown Red Devils are the amateur baseball team in Watertown . The Red Devils compete in the Crow River Valley League .
2020 was an exciting season for the Red Devils . They reached the Class C Amateur State Baseball Tournament for the first time since 2008 . It was the 11th time the Red Devils have made it to state . They finished in third place in Class A back in 1938 and won the Class championship in 1951 .
Led by Pat Tschida , Watertown had a season to remember . Tschida led the way for the Red Devils on the mound and at the plate . He was the 2020 CRVL Most Valuable Player and Pitcher of The Year .
On the mound , Tschida posted an ERA of 1.51 in 35 innings of
work . He finished second in the CRVL in strikeouts with 39 while posting three wins .
At the plate , Tschida finished with an average of . 421 which was good enough for seventh-best in the CRVL .
After an impressive regular season , Watertown clinched a berth in the Class C State Tournament at the Region 7C Tournament with wins over Green Isle and Mayer . The Red Devils finished in second place at the region tournament .
In 2020 , the Watertown Red Devils made it back to the state tournament for the first time since 2008 after beating Green Isle and Mayer at the Region 7C Tournament .
