This year 2013 is my year!
I can’t believe the year is gone however in my disbelief comes relief.
I've seen the storms before they landed but had no idea how to prepare for them. The winds would be treacherous, my emotions just nonexistent. I’ve become numb to life and its lessons, experiences and journey. So strong were the downs that I almost forgot what the ups were like. For love, peace, prosperity and comfort seemed so far off into distant lands that I would not have even considered its arrival. I was just moving, doing and trying.
I had been submerged into the hurricane of how things were happening and how I couldn’t or didn’t have the power to shift anything. In all of my teachings, yogic, eastern and western nothing gave me the relief and know how until the day it happened.
It was wrapped in a 4 foot blanket, covered in tight curled hair and a mouth that wouldn’t keep still. Mom, mom, mom, mom, what if’, how come, why?
Sleeping next to this huge spirit at night gave me a rest that you cannot imagine, the kind of rest you wish not to awake from. The kind of rest and comfort that comes from God himself, it was as if the spirit of God was vibrating from him while he slept, speaking from him, giving me direction, new idea’s, newness, forgiveness and a redefined power. I opened my eyes from a dream where the message was clear, “now go and do the work you’ve promised”. My hands were vibrating again; I have not felt them vibrate in 5 years. I touched his chest thanked the sacred spirit that was living large and bright within him, threw my hands up and started to sob. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you!
The sky is blue again and I am alive. Infact I am stronger than ever.

They say that if you can make it out alive you should be grateful. Let’s just say that if you can feel yourself alive and in your own skin again, being grateful is an understatement. It’s more like a joyous occasion. It feels like a celebration, a holiday, a vacation, a blissful event, a wonderful triumph, a victory and a re-discovery of who one really is.
It’s like unlocking a door that’s been locked for years finding unearthed treasures inside. It’s like attending a birthday party where you’re the honored guest. It’s like having tea with the Queen, or lying with your sweet heart on an island beach. It’s all of these and more.
No one knows you quite like you do, however the real you has been hiding behind the stuff of yesterday, thank goodness for New Year’s and healing. Because today is your day! Finding me or better yet finding we is simple indeed, you’ll need to cry a little, forgive a little, be by yourself a little, be mad, be sad, be angry and then again cry a little, forgive a little, be by yourself a little and heal. Its magic you see? Healing and the secret to finding who you are, is simply just to let it be.
Experience all that you can. The good and the bad, don’t run from it, don’t hide from it. Change, rearrange, redefine, embrace, experiment but when it is all said and done, you will return to who you are. It’s inevitable. Your spirit cannot hide from itself. It will seek you out and hunt you down. So don’t be afraid of losing yourself because just as the sun find its way to the day that to which you are will show its head someday.
