Connection procedure : Two electric service options are available - a prepaid metering option or regular post pay billing option . Applicant ( s ) may apply for service in person at one of SVEC ’ s Marion County offices or apply online at www . svalleyec . com .
Information needed : 911 address of property , Social Security card , and driver ’ s license or other picture identification . A deposit may be required and will be determined upon a credit bureau inquiry on the applicant ( s ). No deposit is required for a pre-paid meter . A connection fee is billed upon the first bill . Natural Gas

Natural Gas deposit is $ 200 . The connection fee is $ 30 .
Information needed : 911 address , social security number , driver ’ s license number , name of nearest relative , and if renting , landlord ’ s name , address and phone number .
Propane gas installation fee $ 50 , which includes up to 20 feet of line . Tank lease is $ 40 per year .

To begin natural gas service an application must be submitted with a non-refundable connection fee . Applications may be delivered personally , faxed , or emailed to the local office . A credit check will be run as part of the application process , and you will be notified if a deposit is required or not .
The fee schedule is as follows : Residential $ 50 Small Commercial / Industrial $ 75 Large Commercial / Industrial $ 300
Deposits , where applicable , are refundable , after a period of two years of good payment history with credit rating of excellent . If a deposit is required , the schedule is as follows :
Residential $ 150 Small Commercial $ 250
Large Commercial / Industrial is calculated based on connected BTU load
Connection fees and applicable deposits can be paid by phone using a credit or debit card . Also accepted at the Local Office is cash and check .

Non-refundable fees for setup are as follows : $ 50 for homeowners and $ 250 for renters . Tap / meter fees include : $ 1,500 inside the city , $ 1,800 outside city limits , and $ 500 to bore under and across a road .
