Veterans Organizations
According to the latest
U.S. Census estimates,
Cumberland County has
59,673 residents, and
more than 6,680 military
veterans from all wars
live here. This represents
one of the largest
percentage of veterans
to total population in
Tennessee’s 95 counties.
These veterans are
represented by several
organizations, all of
which are committed
to assisting veterans
as much as possible.
The commanders and
presidents of these
organizations and
the county’s Veterans
Service Officer comprise
the Cumberland County
Veterans Council and
meet regularly at the
office of Veterans Service Officer
Garry Blaisdell in the Cumberland
County Courthouse.
Blaisdell’s office assists
veterans in many ways and
is assisted and supported by
Veterans Council organizations.
