Welcome to a Splash of Colors Holi and
Hola Mohalla Festival 2019
An occasion of merriment and joy, Hola Mohalla is an esteemed Sikh festival
that falls on the next day of Holi the famous festival of colors. Hola Mohalla
is begun as a demonstration of Sikh martial arts led by the tenth Guru of
Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singhji in which the participants presented a series of
mock fights at the Gurudwara in Anandpur Sahib. The main purpose behind
the celebration of the Holi and Hola Mohalla festival was to inculcate a
sense of solidarity and patriotism within the Sikh community and also to
develop armory skills through mock battles, swordfights, and parades.
