The Rum Creek Wildlife Management Area offers hunting and fishing and camping in certain areas. Rum Creek is also ideal for bird watching and butterfly gazing. A license is required for hunting and fishing. Hunting seasons vary.

In neighboring Butts County, Indian Springs State Park is thought to be the oldest state park in the U. S. The Creek Indians used the springs for centuries to heal the sick and impart extra vigor.
