48 Joel Chandler Harris used when he worked at the Monroe Advertiser in the 1870s at the Monroe County Historical Museum, located inside the only rock granite train depot in Georgia. Harris went to be a famed editor at the Atlanta Constitution and the author of the legendary Uncle Remus stories. By the way, the namesake for Uncle Remus was a former slave whom Harris met in Forsyth.
