“ Some people have a perspective that it’ s a really private issue, and it is,” Holderfield said.“ It is a very private issue, and that’ s why it’ s done respectfully within the parameters of the family’ s wishes.”
Amanda Brown said she thinks the best way that Holderfield could continue building her business in Monroe County would be to do maternity and newborn pictures like she did for the Browns in addition to the actual birth pictures. Brown said she was reluctant to allow Holderfield to do birthing photos at first, but that the attention to detail and enthusiasm that Holderfield displayed during their day at Indian Springs calmed any fears she might have had about the birthing photos.
There are hundreds of birth photographers worldwide, but Holderfield is one of the only ones in Middle Georgia.
Amanda Brown said if she and Randy have another child, they will definitely hire a birth photographer again, but they wouldn’ t just hire any birth photographer.
“ I would use Kim again,” Amanda Brown said. Also, Brown said that she wants Holderfield to be Turner’ s photographer going forward as well.
