Enrolment Enrolment is compulsory for all new students. It takes place from 9am-3pm on Saturday 26 September in the Exhibition Suite, Chancellor’s Building. It should take no more than about 30 minutes. The Enrolment team will guide you through this process at the end of which you will be issued with your KeeleCard. If we have not yet received a photo from you then you will be issued with your KeeleCard once we have taken your photograph. There will be a late Enrolment Help Desk open in the Exhibition Suite, Chancellor’s Building on Sunday 27 September between 1-3pm and again on Monday 28 September to Friday 2 October between 9.00am-5pm. Remember that when you come to enrol you will need to bring your passport so that we can verify your identity. If you haven’t got a passport then you will need to bring your birth certificate and an alternative form of official photographic ID, e.g. driving licence, national ID card etc. Campus Halls of Residence Key Collection For students arriving on Saturday 26 September who are living in campus accommodation, keys will be available to be picked up between 9am-4.45pm on 1st floor of Chancellor’s Building. You will need to have your Accommodation Boarding Pass ready to collect your keys. If you arrive after 5pm then you can collect your key from the 24-hour Security Office in the Darwin Building. Don’t forget to bring your Accommodation Boarding Pass – we will need it before we issue you with your key. Tuition and Residence Fee Payments Staff will be available between 9am-3pm on Saturday 26 September in rooms CBA1.099 and CBA1.100 in the Chancellor’s Building for you to make payment of your tuition and accommodation fees if you haven’t already paid these. There will also be a member of the Money Advice and Guidance team available on Saturday and Sunday to assist with any issues or questions you have regarding your student funding. WELCOME GUIDE 2015 Enrolment and Fees Information for Parents, Relatives and Friends When your child, close relative or friend starts university you might have some questions or concerns. Please come along to one of our Parents and Carers Welcome and Information Sessions in Keele Hall on Saturday 26 September at either: 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm or 3.30pm. Our Vice Chancellor will be welcoming you to Keele and also giving you some information about studying at Keele. Student Services staff will also be available to provide some practical advice for you as parents and carers. Tea and coffee will be provided. This is also an opportunity for you to visit the historic Keele Hall while leaving your child to complete some of the essential enrolment tasks. This includes enrolment, key collection for students living on campus and health registration (please see page 32) The enrolment process should take about 30 minutes but this will depend on the volume of students arriving at different times during the day. We would encourage parents, relatives and carers to go for a drink or a bite to eat in either the Café or Refectory in Chancellor’s Building or Keele Students Union as space in the Enrolment Hall is limited. If you will be living off campus, you can go straight there after you have enroled. 27
