The Art in Public Places Master Plan seeks to build upon the great work that has already been done to create a strong foundation for public art in Port St . Lucie . The Public Works Department oversees City resources that manage the planning , design , construction and maintenance of City infrastructure and various facilities . This includes roads and bridges , water quality and drainage , traffic operations and landscaping .

There are four indoor racquetball courts at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center . Outdoor racquetball courts are available at Sandhill Crane Park , Lyngate Park and Ravenswood . Racquets and racquetball are available for rent . Prices vary .

Project Safe Place is a place where a young person can go to request assistance . The yellow and black signs displayed indicate the business part of the network of safe places . The individual will then be taken to a shelter for counseling .

The Safety House is a mobile classroom setting designed to demonstrate how to safely escape , how to properly maintain smoke alarms and the importance of making a fire escape plan . The St . Lucie County Fire District ’ s Safety House is available to visit schools throughout St . Lucie County .

The Council on Aging is a place to meet and learn , get help and support and have fun ! It provides needed services and helps coordinate these services with appropriated community support agencies . State case managers provide ongoing guidance to seniors in need . Services include home services , nutrition , adult day care , personal care , respite care , recreation , social activities and transportation .
