If you are living on campus you can collect your post from the Post Room between 9.00am and 8.00pm on weekdays (except Mondays opening at 1.00pm) and 2.00pm to 5.00pm at weekends. The post room is situated in the back of the Media Building. You will get an e-mail advising you if a parcel has been delivered for you and don’t forget to take your Keele Card as proof of identity to collect everything. Check you give people the correct address so that your post isn’t delayed. This must include your name, room number, block number, hall of residence and postcode: Barnes Hall – ST5 5DZ Hawthorns – ST5 5DT Holly Cross – ST5 5JB Horwood – ST5 5DY Lindsay – ST5 5DX The Oaks – ST5 5JD Council Tax Full-time students do not have to pay Council Tax. So, if you live in University Halls or a house where everyone is a full-time student, you should not get a bill from the Council. Towards the end of October, Keele University send a list to Newcastle Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council confirming the names of all full-time students, therefore you should not need to provide the Council with any documentation confirming your student status. Please note: if you are resident in a house with someone who is not a full-time student, you may be liable for payment of a proportion of the Council Tax for that property. If you think you should be exempt but are still getting a bill, contact the Student Accommodation Office or Advice & Support at Keele (ASK) in the Students’ Union for advice.
