Registration with the Health Centre Keele Students’ Union (KeeleSU) and the Keele Postgraduate Association (KPA) will be open throughout the weekend. In order to register with the National Health Service and receive treatment, you must be registered with a general medical practice near where you live. You automatically become a member of KeeleSU when you become a student at Keele University. We are here to advise, support, represent, develop, inspire and entertain our students. We are here for you! If you are not already registered with a local practice, you should register with the general medical practice at the University Health Centre when you enrol for your course. For many students, the SU will be a huge part of their social life. Here, opportunities exist to volunteer; it’s where free advice and guidance can be sought and where societies and student groups are managed. Many of these opportunities are not only great fun, but will really complement your studies and help to develop life and future employment skills. Try to take some time this weekend to get to know your Union and/or Keele Postgraduate Association. WELCOME GUIDE 2015 Keele SU and the KPA The registration forms can be downloaded from the Health Centre website www.keelepractice.co.uk. Please fill these in before you arrive as this will minimise the time taken to process your registration. If you have a medical condition, are undergoing treatment at a hospital, or are taking repeat medication, please bring this information with you when you register. You can buy your NUS Extra Card at the Student Union when you arrive. The KeeleSU Help Desk will be open Monday and Tuesday 10am-4pm.
