2020 LOCAL CONTENT AND SERVICE REPORT
IN THE COMMUNITY
WEFS uses its high-definition remote production unit to provide live and recorded public affairs , cultural , and sports programming . The HD production unit gives WEFS the mobility for live EFS graduation ceremonies and live community events as well as other recorded events . In 2020 the station began providing local programs for broadcast and for on-line web viewing . This year WEFS provided the community with Election 2020 Candidate Forums thoughout the summer and fall . Election 2020 Results for Brevard County was aired " live " for viewers . The station continues its recognition of sports that cover our licensee ’ s ( Eastern Florida State College ) teams in highlight of golf , soccer , volleyball , baseball , softball , tennis , and basketball . This was a goal of the station to create interstitials of college sports to air on the broadcast channel and website to highlight the programs and opportunities the college offers . The high quality of the productions also enhances the professional reputation of WEFS and the college . With this opportunity , it helps us increase our stature and impact in the community and with our viewers .
