The Year 10 Extended Mathematics students have been concentrating on using patterns in
functions to understand trigonometric identities.

The Year 11 DP Mathematics students have been working hard to understand the properties and
functions that have helped design the modern world, while the Higher Level students have even
started to formally study Calculus!
Year 12 Mathematics students worked very hard this week to master Differential and Integral
Calculus skills and concepts. With the Mathematics Internal Assessment first draft due by
December 2 nd and Higher Level students having a Paper 3 Options exam in the first week of
December, the Year 12 students are really honing their time management skills.
Year 9 Humanities students have been preparing for their upcoming assessment. They will need to
write a letter/ speech/ leaflet to support or oppose the use of child workers in factories during the
1830s. This assessment will look specifically at criteria A & criteria D of the MYP Humanities
course.
