Montesquieu believes that he can run England for it does not have “the perfect political system.” He believes that his political utopia is the best and that all lands use his form of government. His ideals and philosophies state that if the administrative powers of the executive, legislative, and judiciary were divided among the monarchy, the aristocracy, and the commons, then it would be possible for each class to check the power and self-interest of the other classes, the limiting the growth of corruption. This blasphemous idea would never work. Not even in a million years.
The English monarch should hold all the power. No one has the right to say otherwise. Power should not be divided. For if power is divided, corruption spreads faster. This man should be burned at the stake or given a proper hanging for his freethinking ideas!
POWER HUNGRY MONTESQUIEU?
Does Montesquieu have the right to say that his ideal government is best?
