Staffing Updates We are beyond excited to welcome Jason Baird as our new Worship Pastor. Jason and his family are moving here from the Nashville, Tennessee, area where he has been serving as a Worship Pastor at Thompson Station Church. He is incredibly talented and well thought of in the music community, but what stood out to me about Jason every time we’ ve met has been his humility and his heart for worship. Some of you have heard me say that I was looking for someone who loved Jesus more than they loved music, I truly believe the Lord has sent us that person in Jason. We are incredibly blessed to have him and his family as a part of our Indian Rocks church family.
Kim Murphree has begun working with us as our Director of Preschool & Children’ s Education. Kim has been involved here at our church for some time and we are excited about the positive impact she’ ll have as a staff member. She brings a unique expertise, a steady hand of leadership, and a vision that our Children’ s and Preschool Ministries will greatly benefit from.
Pastor Jim Black will be transitioning into a role with our Small Groups Ministry where he will be working alongside Pastor Tom Owen to give direction and discipleship to some of our Small Groups and Small Group Leaders. Pastor Jim will be transitioning out of his role in our Men’ s Ministry to allow him the time necessary to fulfill his new responsibilities, but he will continue to lead our Senior Adults Ministry. Pastor Scott Harris will be assuming the leadership role in Men’ s Ministry. Pastor Scott has a passion to invest in the men in our church and in our community and we know he’ s going to do a great job in that position.
Please be in prayer for these folks as they make these transitions. God is doing a great work here at Indian Rocks and we’ re very much looking forward to how God is going to do incredible things through these people and through this church!
