Staffing Updates We are beyond excited to welcome Jason Baird as our new Worship Pastor . Jason and his family are moving here from the Nashville , Tennessee , area where he has been serving as a Worship Pastor at Thompson Station Church . He is incredibly talented and well thought of in the music community , but what stood out to me about Jason every time we ’ ve met has been his humility and his heart for worship . Some of you have heard me say that I was looking for someone who loved Jesus more than they loved music , I truly believe the Lord has sent us that person in Jason . We are incredibly blessed to have him and his family as a part of our Indian Rocks church family .
Kim Murphree has begun working with us as our Director of Preschool & Children ’ s Education . Kim has been involved here at our church for some time and we are excited about the positive impact she ’ ll have as a staff member . She brings a unique expertise , a steady hand of leadership , and a vision that our Children ’ s and Preschool Ministries will greatly benefit from .
Pastor Jim Black will be transitioning into a role with our Small Groups Ministry where he will be working alongside Pastor Tom Owen to give direction and discipleship to some of our Small Groups and Small Group Leaders . Pastor Jim will be transitioning out of his role in our Men ’ s Ministry to allow him the time necessary to fulfill his new responsibilities , but he will continue to lead our Senior Adults Ministry . Pastor Scott Harris will be assuming the leadership role in Men ’ s Ministry . Pastor Scott has a passion to invest in the men in our church and in our community and we know he ’ s going to do a great job in that position .
Please be in prayer for these folks as they make these transitions . God is doing a great work here at Indian Rocks and we ’ re very much looking forward to how God is going to do incredible things through these people and through this church !
