For a truly top notch and exclusive experience, head over to Salt grill and Sky bar by Luke Mangan, which sets the standard for premium sky-high dining in Singapore. The perfect place for a romantic dinner, special occasions or perhaps just days where you wish to dine amidst the clouds. The restaurant’s setting is simple; white walls and majestic columns, wooden furnishings and trendy red chandeliers to add a splash of colour. However, the set up is secondary to the main attraction of the restaurant - the view. Salt grill and Sky bar is quite possibly one of the best places to get a 360 degree view of Singapore’s skyline. As I was there for a lunchtime meal, the sun was at its highest giving me a clear view of what seemed to be every single building in the country. I was greeted by the staff and brought to my table by the window. I marvelled at the fact that I could see Sentosa, Pulau Ubin and Pulau Tekong simply from where I was seated. Our server for the day was all smiles, and suggested that I take a walk around to see the full sights that the restaurant has to offer. The restaurant’s glass panels have short excerpts, interesting facts, and the names of areas to look out for from that bird’s eye view. A specially designed ramp brings diners up to the Sky bar where patrons can relax with a drink while soaking in the city landscape. The restaurant has a classy yet relaxed vibe thanks to the upbeat music that was playing in the background. Looking at the surroundings, I had almost forgotten that I was there for a meal but when our first dish arrived, my appetite returned with a bang.
