In the instance of Cherry Garden at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, they have managed to create harmony between man and his food. Creatively designed to look like a Chinese pagoda, the restaurant has plenty of greenery to give it a natural feel, despite being located on the fifth floor of a hotel in the ever-buzzing Raffles Avenue. While many Chinese restaurants tend to feel enclosed and crowded, Cherry Garden is well structured and spacious therefore allowing it to retain a level of its zen-like serenity, even during peak lunch time hours.
