meat, fish and fresh produce. While new interiors, uniforms, style of service and menus are
part of the recent remodeling, the highlight of the revamp is the addition of the applewood
grill, providing guests with a definitive wood-fired steaks and seafood experience.
As the lunch hour strikes, the Mezze Lunch unfolds with a smorgasbord of fresh seasonal selections served at a rustic-style buffet displayed
on top of two distinctive tables made of Suar
wood. Although the buffet spread will be more
than sufficient in filling a normal appetite, add
on entrees are allowed for ravenous eaters who
cannot do without their piece de resistance.
From salads to seafood, cured meats, terrines
and market-style daily highlights, the fresh and
healthy theme continues as guests choose from
a main course of grill items.

There’s something almost satisfyingly primal in
sinking your teeth into a well-seasoned quality cut of meat that’s so intensely flavourful
and juicy that you’re surreptitiously dabbing
your mouth with your napkin after every bite.
The 230grams Tajima Wagyu sirloin, with a gorgeous grade 8-9 marbling score, was grilled to
the perfect amount of char and does just that.
Straight from the wood-burning grill, a smoky
aroma awakes the senses. A slice of the knife
reveals the glistening pink meat within that is
mouthwatering just to look at. Other choices of
meats are available as well, like the stunning 1kg
Tomahawk Australian Black Angus Ribeye that’s
just the ideal size for two to share.
For desserts, channel your focus back to the buffet spread that avails comfort-style desserts and
pastries crafted by Pastry Chef Audrey Yee. Classic and traditional sweet treats like Blueberry
Cheesecake, Tiramisu, Brownies and Chocolate
Roll tempt you as they sit majestically on display. The plethora of indulgences seduces the
palate, as the desserts are so addictive, tempting you to go back for more.
If you want to go for a classic burger, the Grilled
Wagyu Beef Burger presents Wagyu at its best.
Serving up a delish Wagyu patty that has been
grilled over applewood charcoal, it is well seared
to a perfect medium, and is flavourful with
juices overflowing. The focus is concentrated
on the patty and the chef definitely makes the
best out of it. Though slightly messier to chow
down, the delicate smoky flavour within that is
wrapped up with marinated tomatoes and onions, making it all worthwhile. For extra indulgence, you can choose to top your patty with
Cheddar or Emmentel cheese. On the side, the

The hefty mains are best paired with sides that
are more forgiving on your stomachs, in which
case the “La Ratte” Potato Mousseline and Grilled
Portobello Mushrooms make perfect accompaniments. Though delightful to munch on, they
do not distract you from the main course. Airy
and buttery, the potato mousseline is a great
rendition of ordinary mashed potatoes, while
the Portobello mushrooms were prepared with
no frills and lightly seasoned.
Although not famed specifically as a steakhouse, you might be surprised with the impressive steaks this unpretentious bistro has to offer.
