Who would have expected that local celebrity and radio DJ Vernetta Lopez
would start her very own food establishment – Roundhouse: Pizza, Bar & Grill?
A casual dining spot, the restaurants offers different activities every day. Watch
this space every month, as Vernetta gives us insights into her restaurant, food,
and herself. She is one riveting character that has Weekendin enthralled!

At Roundhouse: Pizza, Bar & Grill, we're
all set for Christmas - my favourite time
of the year! Our merry menus are all set
to add festivity to your weekends with
a Roast that will stop Santa in his tracks!
Our Festive Sunday Roasts on 8th, 15th
and 22nd Dec boasts all the trimmings
of our regular Sunday Roast, but this time
with the seasonal turkey, pumpkin tart
and Christmas cookies. Then of course,
we bring out the jingle bells big time with
our Christmas Eve Dinner and Brunch

Christmas is a time to reflect on what is
important to you. It is a time to gather
with your family and friends with warmth
in your heart. My fondest Christmas
memory is from my teenage years, when
my entire family went to England and my
mum saw snow for the first time!

But I love it! The cheese melts then crisps
over in a golden brown shimmer, as the
mash and beef glisten in its own gravy.
Serve it in a bowl, on a plate or with your
turkey and you're set for a Christmas dinner to sigh with satisfaction to.

card under a beautiful ribbon-tied gift to
slide under the tree. Nope. I'm mashing
potatoes in a mad frenzy with eyes popping and both arms aching! Usually because it’s a family tradition that I do my
signature Christmas Shepherd's Pie. And
because I get orders for takeaway from
family and friends (who by the way actually do attend our party and tuck into the
dish but want a whole pie to themselves
on Christmas morning), I end up peeling
and mashing about 2 sacks of potatoes.
This isn't Christmas; it’s prison!

But what am I usually doing to contribute to
the festive season?
You'd think that on the Eve of Christmas
