Making mum friends when your baby has arrived can be hard, but making friends during pregnancy can be even more so. Aiming to bring mums together to chat, socialise, enjoy a cuppa and learn from local birth and parenting professionals, we launched our new pregnancy support group 'Bump Club' on Tuesday 30th May, kindly hosted by Inn at The Park Hotel
Joined by local businesses, SONA Mum, Rosy Cheeks Aberdeen, Pryde of Place, Bump to Baby with Bela, Prime Mover Pathway, Moo Music Aberdeen, Moo Music Stonehaven, Life Casting Studio, Vivienne Elizabeth Photography, Bellewren, Turtle Tums Aberdeen and Bonding with Baby Aberdeen, we welcomed 50 expectant mums for an evening of shopping, talks and demonstrations, from the NCT Aberdeen Sling Library team, Carole Clarke, author of Birth Writes, Anne Marie Rennie, NHS Grampian Infant Feeding Coordinator,
and Bela Spencer, NHS midwife and yoga instructor. We were also very lucky to receive a beautiful cake from Cakes by Alli Baba, and balloons from The Balloon Studio to celebrate the launch.
Bump Club will run on the last Tuesday of every month, from 7 to 9pm. Not only is it a great way to meet other mums, but there will be a speaker at every club night, as well as a lending library of pregnancy and birth books, and stretchy wraps to hire if your baby is due soon! Tickets will go on sale first to those signed up to our mailing list ([email protected] to join) or who are members of our Bump Club group - click HERE
Places are limited so make sure to keep an eye out!
