It's hard to believe that Spring has come and gone, and the summer holidays have began! It has been a busy time for the Branch, with lots of exciting news and events, including being able to bring you the very first edition of our digital newsletter! We were very excited to celebrate the second birthday of our sling library in April.. With your continued support at the sling meets, we've been able to buy new slings including a Toddler Tula. There's more about the Sling Library on page 10
A special thanks goes to Duthie Park Rangers who hosted our Mud Sessions in April and by all accounts it was an extremely messy and enjoyable day. As well as being fun, events like these bring in funds to the Branch which allow us to start new groups like our Bump Club and Nappy Library. We had a great time at the launch of Bump Club at Inn at the Park. It was lovely to meet so many pregnant mums to be and have so many local baby businesses attending. We are very excited to have this new monthly group and more information about it is on page 6
Now it is time for an equally exciting Summer!

The new Branch Nappy Library had their first demo and hires at the June Sling Meet. It's fantastic that Sandra, Lois and Penelope have had the vision to start this, and you can find out more about it on page 13. As if all of this wasn't enough excitement, the Branch volunteers had nine nominations for the NCT Star Awards, which is an amazing achievement and testament to their hard work
Congratulations go to Vivienne Cruddace, Suzanne Davidson, Kirsty MacDonnell and Kat Masterson for their nominations for Volunteer of the Year, to Elaine Rooney Tennant and Abby Twigger for their nominations for Practitioner of the Year and to the Sling Library and Nearly New Sales Teams for their nominations for Volunteer Team of the Year. A special mention for the Breastfeeding Survey Team who have been nominated for NCT Team of the Year and will be attending the Star Award Finals in London in November. We are absolutely delighted by the recent news that Vivienne, Abby and the Sling Library team now also go on to London after winning the regional finals!
