atelynn foster and mike brady met in the spring of 2010 in downtown calgary. katelynn was out for drinks with colleagues, when
one of her coworkers mentioned that she’d be a perfect match
for her friend Mike and invited him to come meet them at the bar. Katelynn and
Mike, both fellow grads of the University of Alberta School of Business, ended
up clicking immediately and chatted all night long.

After four years of dating, Mike surprised Katelynn with a proposal while the
pair were hiking in the mountains. “We took a nice walk around Emerald Lake
and when we were alone and looking out onto the water, I turned around and
he was down on one knee,” remembers Katelynn.
The couple were married on August 22, 2015 at the fairmont chateau lake
louise located in the heart of Alberta’s Banff National Park. The couple envisioned a romantic celebration that paid tribute to the natural beauty of their
luxurious mountain resort venue and included personalized touches throughout. Sheryl Boury of lynn fletcher weddings was hired to bring the couple’s
ideas to life, and provided both decor and wedding coordination for the event.
Katelynn’s diamond and sapphire engagement ring was custom-made, and the
couple’s wedding bands are from carati.
