The women in the wedding party wore grey dresses in different styles and carried identical custom bow
clutches designed by Kim Ironmonger of valencienne bridal design. Kim also designed gowns for Matthew’s
mother and his sisters—Michelle and Shawna, who were both in the wedding party. The men were dressed in
matching, black custom suits from esco and airplane-shaped cufflinks that fit the wedding theme.

Macedonian coin—the gift was meant as a start to a
family heirloom.

The wedding ceremony took place in the lobby lounge
of the thompson toronto, renowned for its ultrastylish interior design. The men exchanged personalized vows in front of the lobby’s dramatic mural of
the Toronto skyline. r5 event design created a
design focal point with a large, custom black frame
accented with vibrant blooms.
Matthew and Jesse worked closely with officiant

on the flow and script of the intimate ceremony. “We
spoke about our personal life experiences, our current
life, and the path to our wedding. Our guests were
laughing and crying throughout the ceremony,” the
couple shares.
