atthew djorsev and jesse caamic met in 2005 while attending
ryerson university, and became fast friends. the two share a love
of travel and were visiting the caribbean together when their
friendship turned to romance! In 20 14, after many years of commuting back and
forth to each other’s homes at opposite ends of Toronto, the couple moved in together.
Matthew had a ring for Jesse and had been working on a proposal plan, yet was
waiting for the perfect moment to present itself. On the day of their housewarming
party he spontaneously presented Jesse with a photo book he had created, with a
photo of a ring on the very last page. When Jesse arrived at the ring photo, Matthew
took the actual engagement ring out of his pocket and proposed in front of their
nearest and dearest!
The couple were married on August 8, 2015 at the thompson toronto. The pair
wanted their wedding to be a modern, ultra-chic celebration that reflected both
their passion for luxury travel and their love of downtown Toronto. They turned
to wedding planner Malvina Chevolleau of fabulous occasions to bring their
vision to life.
palettera custom correspondences produced the wedding stationery, including
the hardcover invitation that spoke to the event’s travel theme and Toronto setting.
The invitation featured airport codes of different places the couple have travelled
to (along with YYZ for Toronto’s Pearson International Airport) and included a
personalized monogram of the pair’s initials that was carried across the wedding.
Matthew wore a black Giorgio Armani suit from harry rosen and Christian
Louboutin shoes. Jesse was dressed in a blue suit and black dress shoes from hugo
boss. The men both wore Louis Vuitton ties.
