The bridesmaids wore black chiffon dresses with a pewter rhinestone belt from LE CHÂTEAU. Greg’s formal wear was from MEXX and KENNETH COLE. Lori carried an oversized, cascading bouquet made of white orchids with hints of purple. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were a cluster of orchids in different hues of purple. All floral for the day was created by Suzane Lee from GRANVILLE ISLAND FLORIST. The beautiful outdoor ceremony was short and sweet and filled with humour. “We wrote our vows together, so we recited the same promises to each other,” says Lori. After exchanging their custom vows, Lori and Greg performed a sand ceremony with their daughter where three containers of sand were poured together as one. Another personalized and sentimental aspect of the ceremony was that Lori’s wedding band was custom-made using four diamonds from her grandmother’s wedding ring that Lori has had since she was four years old. “It is very special to me,” she says of the ring and its symbolism. The ceremony decor was elegant and simple. Two lavish floral arrangements on white pillars were placed at the beginning of the aisle and the end of the altar. The arrangements were made of purple and white orchids with strands of crystals hanging from the clear vases. Hundreds of white and purple petals lined the outdoor aisle while guests were seated on clear Chiavari chairs with white seat cushions. The reception also took place at the bride’s parents’ house. A lounge area was created using all-white furniture rented from UPRIGHT DECOR. Florist Suzane Lee of GRANVILLE ISLAND FLORIST worked with Colin Upright and his team from UPRIGHT DECOR to transform the residential location into a spectacular wedding site. Purple uplighting and suspended crystal chandeliers lit a beautifully draped tent. An extraordinarily large “king’s table” was the focal point of the tent. The extra-long table was placed down the centre of the tent and featured crisp white linen offset with a sparkly, pewter table runner. Tall floral centrepieces of alternating purple and white orchids in clear vases lined the table. Three cylinder vases with floating orchids separated each of the bountiful centrepieces.
