Lindsay and Mike were set up on a blind date
through mutual friends in September of 2008.
The matchmaking went extremely well—
they were engaged in December, 2011. The
proposal happened over a romantic dinner in
Vancouver’s Yaletown neighbourhood, with
the assistance of a waitress whom at Mike’s
request placed a ring box next to Lindsay’s
glass of wine.

Alicia Keats of ALICIA KEATS WEDDING +
was initially hired to provide
same-day co-ordination for the couple’s
wedding day on April 27, 2013 but ended up
taking over the reigns three weeks before the
wedding day. “Alicia was absolutely fabulous,”
says Lindsay. “I don't know what we would
have done without her. She organized

made sure everything was ready for the big
day, which ran flawlessly. Alicia was there for
anything my guests or I needed!”

can be a rainy month. With this in mind,
Lindsay and Mike prioritized finding the

With this in mind, Lindsay and Mike opted
for minimal decor at the ceremony. Two
tall, all-white arrangements by FLOWERZ
graciously flanked the altar. A string quartet
from MUSICAL OCCASIONS played during
the processional before Father Glenn Dion
officiated the ceremony. “My favourite
moment of the day was marrying my best
friend and love of my life,” says Lindsay.
