The escort card table was draped in cream silk
linen with pink ‘petal’ drapes pulled back on
either side. The cards were set on a large gold,
framed mirror.
Once the doors to the ‘other’ side of the
ballroom were opened, the lunch reception
got underway. A large, oval head table was the
focal point of the room. Tables were decorated
with beautiful custom linen and abundant
flower arrangements in shades of cream and
soft pinks. Hanging crystals added glamour
and sparkle to centrepieces and matched the
ceiling of the Crystal Ballroom, while candles
added a glimmer to the tables. Over a fourcourse lunch catered by the PAN PACIFIC
VANCOUVER, guests also enjoyed the musical
entertainment of the YALETOWN STRING
QUARTET. A Chinese Tea Ceremony took
place on a white gloss riser so the guests could
witness this special Chinese custom. At lunch,
junior guests (and their parents) were given a
special invitation to a “just for kid’s” evening
performance that would take place at the next
venue, complete with a special day care set up.

shades of cream, champagne and pale pink.
The cake was created to incorporate mini
cakes which guests could help themselves
to for dessert after lunch. Three different
flavours—chocolate-dipped strawberry,
lemon mousse cake, and strawberry
cheesecake—were decorated with a
Chinese “love” character.
