To align with the industrial, raw theme, she kept the buttercream icing to a minimum to create a semi-naked cake filled with sweet berries and a rich vanilla custard, finishing it with white floral and gold leaves for a touch of glam. A digital photo booth was provided by mango studios as a bonus treat for guests. outside in studios captured the day with cinematography services. In lieu of favours, donations were made in each guest’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, CAMH, and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Monogram marquee letters were provided by event graffiti. The couple began their dream honeymoon in Hong Kong before flying to Bali and then back to Hong Kong. They bathed with elephants and played with monkeys, and above all else experienced two new cultures—together. An 8-piece live band (including an electric violinist) from sole power productions played throughout the reception until the DJ, also from Sole Power Productions, took over. The sweet table was created by Christina Wong of truffle cake & pastry. It featured macaron towers, donuts, miniature cheesecakes, blueberry tarts, and chocolate covered pretzels, among other delicacies.
