FLOWERS WITH MEANING
Caroline and Joseph were married on September 12, 2015, at our lady of sorrows
catholic church. The altar was flanked by large arrangements of fluffy white
blooms and massive natural branches with orchids. The gta strings quartet
performed during the ceremony along with the church organist.
In addition to the event planning, Roxy Zapala of art of celebrations event
planning and design firm produced all of the floral designs, which were a
sentimental priority for Caroline. Her cherished aunt who lived in Sweden adored
flowers and although Caroline shared that love, the wedding flowers became even
more important when she learned that her aunt was suffering from cancer and
couldn’t make it to the wedding. “This absolutely broke everyone’s hearts; living
miles away there was never an occasion that she would miss,” recalls Caroline.
With her aunt in mind, Caroline wanted the flowers to be absolutely perfect, and
Roxy and her team delivered on that goal. Sadly and poignantly, Caroline’s aunt
passed away the morning of the wedding. The beautiful floral wonderland that
Roxy and her team created that day was a true homage to her and her life.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and
their guests went outside the church and
released balloons provided by art of
celebrations event planning and design
firm into the sky. This moment held
special meaning for Caroline and Joseph
as they both love balloons and were
eager to share this experience with their
family and friends.
