Thank you to our loyal advertisers and supporters for contributing to the growth and sustainability of WedLuxe Magazine since we launched our inaugural issue in Vancouver almost ten years ago. My love for books began when I was a little girl, having been exposed to the wonderful world of storytelling and fairytales early on since my mom would read me a book (or two, or three!) every night before I fell asleep. Incidentally, since I know she faithfully reads each issue of WedLuxe cover to cover, I’d just like to thank my beautiful mom, Fay, for taking the time to sit with me each night and introduce me to the world of make believe. When my staff and I decided on the theme Literary Love for this issue, we were dreaming of all the wedding ideas and design possibilities that could be drawn from classic tales, current best-sellers and yes, fairytales! With that in mind, we referenced Neil Gaiman’s Stardust to conceptualize our original fashion feature beginning on page 128. Our WedLuxe Glitterati Members also embraced the literary theme and submitted a wide range of styled shoots inspired by all facets of the written word! Whether based on the wildly popular Fifty Shades of Grey series, or the classic love story of The Alchemist, the winning collection of WedLuxe Style File features beginning on page 92 are a beautiful tribute to love and literature. The phrase “luxury is in the details” is entirely true with each of the six real weddings we selected to run in this issue. As you will see for yourself beginning on page 44, each event was impeccably designed to infuse the unique personalities and love stories of each couple into every gorgeous detail.
