RECEPTION
Derek MacDonald from boom goes the drum and
Lea Romanowski of designing on the edge
collaborated on the design of the reception which
took place in Mount Stephen Hall. “I was floored
when I walked into the reception,” recalls Chanel.
“Each table was unique and interesting on its own, but
they all looked gorgeous grouped together.” The long
head table featured glittery gold table linens from
special event rentals and bouquets of all-white
blooms.
The fairmont banff springs hotel catered the
memorable wedding dinner while dj jared andres,
discotecha spun jazz music. The band la all stars
had everyone on the dance floor later in the evening.
“I still have people telling me how great the music
was,” Chanel says.
Yann Blanchard of yann haute patisserie designed
the couple’s contemporary, chocolate hazelnut and
vanilla rum-flavoured white wedding cake.
Yann Haute Patisserie also created French macarons
that were placed in cedar boxes and given to guests
as favors along with mini bottles of Moët & Chandon
champagne.
Chanel and Chris look back on the wedding as the
best day of their lives. The couple followed their
beautiful celebration with a honeymoon in Bali.
