president & ceo of bharti charitable foundation, at a bar in toronto’s yorkville
neighbourhood four years ago. In 2013, the couple were engaged while enjoying a
romantic holiday in Jamaica. Andre proposed during a private dinner on the beach and Nicole,
of course, said yes!
Nicole and Andre were married on August 16, 2014 at the bharti family chalet in Collingwood, Ontario. The couple wanted the wedding to reflect both of their personalities. Andre
is rock n’ roll to his core, while Nicole loves everything over-the-top and glamorous, so they
naturally decided on a “rock meets royalty” theme! They sought out imaginative, creative
professionals to bring their out-of-the-box vision to life. “Neither of us wanted an ‘average
wedding,’ so finding people who ‘got us’ was a big deal,” the couple shares.
the feldman agency, owned by friends of the Bharti family, provided pre-wedding planning
assistance, and Kim Miyama of kim miyama events was hired to provide partial planning
and day-of execution.
Nicole wore a mermaid-style gown by Israeli designer Oved Cohen. The lace bodice featured
handmade flower appliqués along with crystal accents. She later changed into a second gown,
also by Oved Cohen, for the late-night party. It was similar to her wedding dress, but with
nude sheer fabric fully covered with handmade floral appliqués and crystals.
