The Hotels
Tagaytay boasts of different kinds
of hotels – some fronting the view of
the famous Taal Volcano while others
capturing the fresh scent of the breezy
atmosphere. Some are high-end while
others are modest. But between
these features are a surefire way of
making your guests feel at ease with
its quaint and small number of rooms,
different amenities such as WiFi
ready, swimming pools, a billiard and
pool table, a parking area and others.
Of course, your stay also includes
complimentary breakfast – and some
hotels, complimentary country buffet
and wine tasting with cheese. Should
you and your guests decide to stay
here, costs range from P2,900 up to
P6,500 a night on weekends. Budget
hotels are also made available, of
course.
Boutique
Hotels
This is a most recent addition to the
accommodations in Tagaytay. It’s
called such because it has less than
100 rooms; the atmosphere combines
a new kind of brightness to its fray:
ambiance, décor, personalized services
and the positive mindset of the hotel
staff. Plus, boutique hotels have unique
themes – seaside, countryside, bed and
breakfast and others.
And just like the hotels, the boutique
hotels come with an endearing bed
and breakfast, LCD televisions, WiFi-
ready access rooms, a choice of pillows
in the rooms (in some boutique hotels),
gift shops, and a restaurant which
serve local and international dishes.
Some boutique hotels also offer
special touches to their rooms such as
marshmallows.
Bed and
Breakfast
Bed and Breakfast or B&B as this is
fondly called only offer – what else
- breakfasts. These have also been
known as self-catering rooms which
offer 10 rooms or less. Generally,
these accommodations have private
bedrooms with bathrooms that are
shared by several guests.
There are however, high-end inns bed
and breakfast, which have additional
amenities such as WiFi, DVD players,
spas or Jacuzzis, swimming pools,
and a spacious garden where your
guests can just relax and breathe in the
soothing Tagaytay air. And some even
overlooks the Taal Volcano Lake.
Interestingly, some bed and breakfast
places have a garden where you can
think and ponder, and admire the
beautiful flowers. Cost also differs,
depending on your budget and how
many of your guests want to stay. So
which one should you choose? It all
boils down to your budget, the number
of people and the amenities you’d
like your guests and family members
to experience. When you don’t care
much about the expenses, then better
head on to the hotels or the boutique
hotels. These offer everything that your
entourage desire and so much more –
complete with amenities and other
special additions. But if you are tight
on the budget, the inns, the rooms for
rents and the bed and breakfast are just
fine. These have the basic amenities.
Plus, you also get a golden view of
some famous landmarks around the
area.
For a large number of entourage, you
can also try out the boutique hotels,
but if only a handful gets to be invited,
go for the rooms for rent or the inns
or the bed and breakfasts. Some hotels
also have less than ten rooms so if you
feel that budget won’t be a problem,
you can have them stay here.
