CHARACTER FIRST
The towns of Amadeo, Silang,
Alfonso, Mendez and Nasugbu
have also a fair share of beautiful
and old churches offering same
atmosphere.
Things to Remember:
• Block and Book the church-
There is no such thing as Pencil
Book. To officially reserved the
date and the church you must
pay a reservation fee.
• Book Early - Cavite and Metro-
Tagaytay is a popular wedding
destination. Booking a year in
advance is advisable to secure
the date. The earlier the better.
• Rules and Regulations -There
are churches who require the
couples, coordinators, and the
photo and video team to attend
an orientation seminar to discuss
their do’s and don’ts, dress codes
and age rules for the bearers and
flower girls who will walk on the
aisle. You may also want to ask
about petal throwing, confetti,
balloons, butterflies, fireworks
and other special effects you
want to use in the church.
Do note as well that different
churches may have different
rules.
• Size Matters - Determine how
many guests are you inviting
and imagine if your church is big
enough to hold the number of
your guests.
• Wooden and Glass doors -
Envision a big wooden door for
your entrance or a glass door
with curtains that will create a
drama as you enter the church.
• Traffic Situation: Study and
familiarize yourself with the route
and traffic situation heading to
your church.
• Photo op time: Nowadays,
churches compute the time you
spent inclusive of the pictorial.
Such info is critical to your photo
and video team. They also limit
the time of pictorial in order to
give way to the next weddings or
other church affairs.
• Your Priest- Clarify if the
church will provide a priest for
your ceremony or if they are
open on having a guest priests
that you know. Just ask for the
requirements that you need to
present if you are bringing your
own priest to wed you.
• On Personal Vows - We know
you want to profess your hearts
with a vow. But nowadays, due
to the rejection of CBCP on
personal vows this rule has been
strictly implemented on Catholic
Weddings. You may opt to just
ask your photo and video team
to record your vows and include
it in your Same DAY Edit Video.
Here are the list of churches
within Cavite and Metro Tagaytay
Tagaytay City is a Character
City. A Character City or City of
Character is a city that abides
with the fundamentals stated
by the International Association
of Character Cities, of which
Tagaytay City is a member, and
is the first in the Philippines.
Emphasis on 49 character
qualities, such as forgiveness,
gratefulness and dependability, is
at the core of their programs.
The Character First Tagaytay
Committee was formed and
tasked to implement a citywide
character campaign. One of
which is to require couples
to finish the Character First!
program and to participate in
a tree-planting activity before
receiving a marriage license.
This only applies if you are
getting your marriage license
in Tagaytay. If you will get it
elsewhere, then, there’s no need
to accomplish the said program.

ON COLORS:
Often, couples will settle for their
favorite colors, while others go
for what is trendy or the color
of the year. The important thing
here is to first visualize the color
dominating the style of your
wedding. If it looks good, go
for it. Iif you are having second
