Mount Auburn Cemetery has a landscape shaped not only by remembrance, but by love. For nearly two centuries, Mount Auburn remains a place where love is practiced as well as remembered. Couples still come here for first dates, proposals, wedding photos, and even marriage ceremonies, drawn by the same sense of beauty, intimacy, and reflection that inspired earlier generations.
Outdoor ceremonies can be held in several areas in the Cemetery, including by Auburn Lake, in Asa Gray Garden, or at the top of Washington Tower, which has views of Boston ' s skyline.
