Ceremonies and Receptions Mount Auburn is a ceremony-only venue and we do not host receptions, out of care for our landscape and wildlife.
Timing Rentals may begin starting at 3pm Monday through Saturday or any time on Sunday. Rentals must end by Cemetery closing time, which changes seasonally.
Transportation Charter buses, vans, stretch limos, and other large vehicles are not allowed inside the gates of Mount Auburn. Out of consideration for our landscape, historic monuments, visitors, and more, we cannot have large vehicles on site. Before renting vehicles for your event, please confirm with Mount Auburn staff that they are appropriate for onsite use.
Parking For clients and guests, we have parking throughout the Cemetery and also have staff available that can help direct guests on where to park.
Event Insurance Clients are required to purchase event insurance before their event. Mount Auburn can apply on the clients’ behalf for a fee of $ 200.
Photography Agreement Clients and their photographers are required to sign an agreement with guidelines on how to take photography appropriately in the Cemetery. There are few approved locations where photography is allowed to take place and these must be discussed with Mount Auburn staff and agreed upon before the event date.
