Wedding Ideas
Glam for every theme
Ms. Vanessa Biazon of Enav Glam shares her glamorous styling prowess in four wedding themesthat will challenge
and arouse your imagination…
White Wedding
A color-based theme is a common sight in Philippine
weddings. But an all-white wedding is far from common; it is
a cool trend that is fast becoming a classic. And it’s flexible
too. Combined with blue and it easily becomes a Grecian
wedding, matched with gold and it is transformed to a French
Versailles theme. Here, we have incorporated a vintage flair
to the concept.
For a previous project, I used white Ecuadorian roses for the
bridal bouquet. On the handle I used a cream lace and a silver
brooch; these will add texture and sparkle without deviating
from the theme.
In the ceremony area, we had vintage white lamps fitted with
candles and surrounded by local white rose and draped with
beads. Tall, translucent vases held posies more of white
flowers. Crystal clear bowls double as decor and as stylish
receptacles for appetizers.
Old Spanish Wedding
History makes it easy for us to recreate this era as remnants
of the period remain part of modern-day Philippines. This
theme is about romance and passion. Enav Glam shares this
vision... Go see our many century-old venues and Baroque
churches; this will give your event authenticity. It’s the perfect
backdrop for this theme.
In event styling, one forte that our team is assigned to is the
bridal car, but instead of a bridal car, we can hire a calesa
(horse-drawn carriage) to take you to the ceremony and
reception venues.
For the table centerpiece, we can use abanico and rose
petals in the arrangement. Yellow lights, chandeliers and
candelabras can also work for this theme. Serve Spanish
dishes for continuity.
Beach Wedding
Ours is the perfect tropical get-away – hot and overflowing
with the world’s best beaches. That’s why most destination
weddings here in the country are also beach weddings.
Here is our dreamy take on this... For the centerpiece we had
vases with colored water to match their motif; while orchids
and pearls lend an organic vibe. Also for the decor, we had
flower balls with rosal fillers on stands with swag.
For the backdrop, we combined bamboo, sheer white curtains
and seashells – these helped define the area and really make
the space very open and relaxed.
For this wedding, we had to transport the flowers and items
to style the wedding with and charter boat to this island. It
was an enormous undertaking but a valued experience. Once
more we had to buy new props and again we did not charge
any more fees because I knew we could reuse and recycle it
for more event styling in the future.
Offbeat Wedding
Because there are couples whose theme is so original they
cannot be in just any category. An offbeat themed wedding is
a huge umbrella under which every quirky and incredible idea
is found. Get creative!
A fan of Twilight Saga? Then a vampy set-up with a red, black
and white color scheme is in order. We can adapt the hanging
wisteria in the wedding scene and use sampaguita garlands
which will have a similar effect.
Are you both self-confessed nerds? Maybe you could have
a cool, book-filled corner where your guests can have their
pictures taken at.
Or maybe you have a rockstar lifestyle? Then your wedding
event style should rock ‘n roll and no less!
Tell us your ideas and we will create it for you. This is your
wedding and it should be just the way you want it.
