It was around this time last year that I found myself stepping out of a job in the
wedding industry and into a position as an advertising executive at Daybreak
Media. It didn’t take long of me working on the magazines the company already
had to express my thoughts on creating a new magazine; a magazine that was
very different from the ones they were accustomed to. I saw a need for a bridal
magazine, a planning guide. Brides and their families were always looking for
recommendations on who to use, wanting to know what options are available to
them, and wondering where to start when it came to planning their big day. Editor
Karla Eden
Thankfully, the owner of the company saw the passion I had for it and put a little
faith in me to get this magazine started. Here we are a year later, with the second
issue in our hands. The inaugural issue came out in March of 2019 and it was
everything I hoped it would be. The last 6 months, our reach spread further into
the East Alabama area, and even bled over slightly into the West Georgia region.
With this issue, I wanted to ensure that there was something for everyone. That
when a bride to be sat down with her fiancé and says “Look what I saw…” he
would find something that interested him as well. We want everyone that is
involved in planning a wedding to take something away from this magazine. Here
at Wedding Belles, we aim to be all inclusive; regardless of age, gender, religion,
ethnicity, and preference.
Thank you to our readers, our vendors, and to our team for a successful first year
of Wedding Belles.
Best Wishes,
Karla Eden
