nniversaries are milestones when we take stock of where we’ve been, what we’ve achieved and where we’re heading. As the saying goes, “It’s the journey, not the destination that matters.” Clichéd as that may be, I believe i t holds true for many things in life. Another year has virtually flown by, and I am so happy to share with you WED Magazine’s progress in the past year. Thanks in no small part to you, our readers, we have experienced a lot of

exciting accomplishments and achieved some key goals that I had set when I started the magazine. Now, it’s our second year already and you, our readers, have made those accomplishments possible. We have been able to host two fantastic exhibitions in Lagos and a third one in the making which is Wed Expo Abuja. We can proudly say that we are here to stay! In our third year we will be expanding the WED brand and introducing WED Academy. No doubt the wedding industry has become a viable alternative to the regular 9 to 5 jobs and people have been doing extremely well as entrepreneurs in the industry. With WED Academy we will be training start up entrepreneurs and making them experts at what they will be doing. Also we will have business and strategy courses for already seasoned professionals. As part of our commitment to ensuring our reach gets everywhere we are giving the digital edition free online and on phones. You can also download a PDF version for keeps. For this issue, we decided to go all out and celebrate with many “firsts”. Our exclusive interview with Randy Fenoli, the star of Reality TV Show “Say Yes To The Dress” is a must read for every bride. His suggestions on choosing the right wedding dress are simply awesome. Seven wedding experts across different fields answer some pressing questions from our brides in the “Ask The Experts” column. We also explore the highlights of cake maestro, Tosan Jemide’s “Tallest Cake In Africa” event. And since we are on the subject of milestones, we’ve taken our ‘tips’ section a notch higher. From picking an engagement ring to choosing a perfect wedding suit for the groom and quick steps to a wedding ready skin, you are guaranteed to find useful ways to make planning your wedding much easier!
