ACROSS THE BORDER was decorated to echo this using wrought iron candelabras with mixed foliage, faux wisteria, cherry blossom and real Vendela roses, while a beautiful wicker heart above the barn was decorated with faux white wisteria and mixed garden foliage.
‘ Our day went from classic food courses to evening grazing’
Our food was provided by Nibbles2Nosh, Upwaltham Barn’ s own caterers. We had antipasti starters followed by roast beef and a trio of puddings for our sit down wedding breakfast. This was accompanied by a Tipsy Truck during the day and a grazing board for our evening guests.
‘ We had some great surprises over the day’
Our best man gave a great speech and this was then followed by a surprise speech for the bride by the maid of honour. The surprises didn’ t end there though as Luke’ s mum had booked Silver Singing Waiters to perform during our wedding breakfast. It was a lovely surprise and got the whole room dancing and twirling their napkins. Our day wouldn’ t have been what it was without Lee Russell who was our Master of Ceremonies and DJ. I( Rebecca) am a total control freak and worry about everything! Lee made sure the day ran smoothly and along with the staff and our family and friends kept the party vibe going!
‘ Even high winds didn’ t stop us from capturing memories!’
We chose Sarah Willaims as our photographer as she was recommended by the venue. We knew from the moment that we made contact( and had seen her images on social media) that we wanted Sarah and her husband Alex to capture our day. It was really important to have our boys involved as much as possible and we have so many great images. We loved every image and even though there was high winds they were able to capture some amazing drone footage and recreated some outdoor moments after the winds had died down after the ceremony.
